Wilder World Expands Metaverse With FPS Debut and $100K Global Tournament at Gamescom 2025
Wilder World is set to revolutionize its metaverse ecosystem with the Super Early Access launch of a first-person shooter (FPS) mode at Gamescom 2025. The debut, backed by Samsung, will feature a $100,000 global tournament, complete with a live finale and travel rewards for top contenders.
"The $100K tournament isn’t just about esports, it’s a global stage to show the world that Wilder World is building at the frontier of gaming and the metaverse," said n3o, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Wilder World. The partnership with Samsung underscores the growing convergence of Web3 gaming and mainstream entertainment.
The FPS mode marks Wilder World’s second playable experience following Wilder Wheels, its 2024 racing game release. Both are set within Wiami, the sprawling VIRTUAL city anchoring the Wilder ecosystem. Gamescom attendees will get first access to the FPS gameplay on August 20, with open qualifiers running from August 25 to September 9. The top five players will compete in a live finale on September 24, with all expenses covered.
